i'm indonesian who is currently studying in france. i have schengen visa and already holding titre de sejour.

i have a problem, my passport is under administrative processing in the united-state embassy (i'm applying for united-states visa a month ago), but in the following days i need to go to Italy for my thesis seminar. i have called the us embassy and ask them to send my passport, and they told me that my passport will be sent as soon as possible (that was 2 weeks ago).

i'm afraid by the time my departure to italy, i haven't receive my passport from the embassy.

my question is, can i go travel to italy only with titre de sejour (i know i need to show them my passport for check-in at the airport) ?
is there any solution for my problem?

To go to Italy, you need a passport and a "carte de séjour".

There is no systematic immigration control between France and Italy, so the risk is low. However, a control is always possible.
