Here is my case. I hope you can give me some insights.

I am supposed to go to Europe for two things:

1. To visit by a friend (French) who invited me to spend Christmas in France

2. And to attend a wedding of another friend (Swiss).

The Swiss, the French and I are common friends and we knew each other

here in my country.

So i applied for a Schengen visa at the Franch embassy, with an

attestation d'acceuil from the family of my French friend.

I got denied. ...

Two weeks ago I applied for a short-stay visa at the Belgian embassy in Beirut. The interview didn't even take 5 min, after that the lady told me to call again ...

Hey,

I just got my schengen visa from spanish embassy.

I apologize if my question might seem basic.

At the top of the visa, there is : Valid for: Estados Schengen. So, this is schenge, right?

Visa type is C.

I have couple of questions!

My visa has Remarks: Estancia. And under it, there is: Egyegenest.

What does it mean?

My second question...I decided to visit Paris, and my return ticket is from Paris.... But when I applied for the visa, I did not tell the embassy that I will ...

Because I have training in Paris from 6 to 11 Sep, so I wanted to fly from Viet Nam to France first with this visa for the training then I will go to Greece later.

But at the check-in at Viet Nam airport, the authority refused to check-in me and cancelled my flight.

Are they correct in refusing my flight for France first?

My girlfriend from china wish to study in france in 2009 but she would like to come a few days before in order to make sure that she like this country and to comfirm that it is the best choice for her study in the following year.

Which visa do you think she should apply for : the tourist visa or the visa "for friendly visit" as i will take care of her when she will be there?

what are the difference between these 2 type of visa?

Thanks in advance,

Hello,

I have got a schengen visa C type from Belgium embassy in London today.

The remarks column says "Remarks: BNL2".

Does anyone know what does this mean? Is there any restriction on my travel or can I travel to some other country such as Italy?

Any help is hugely appreciated!!

Thanks,

Greg.

PS: I have searched from this topic previously...the answer to that says that this question has been answered previously but I cant find it on this forum. I tried ...

Hello,

I'm very confused about the D-type visa, and the Consulat in Sydney (Australia) simply hangs up on you when you mention the word "visa", and only replies to some emails. The last reply that made sense in English, in response to my question about what my visa is, was telling me that I waste their "precious time" and can I please tell my university in France to stop calling them, they'll get around to doing everyone's visas eventually. (!!!!) I count myself lucky ...

I'm an American citizen and I'm planning on doing some school in a few countries consecutively in Europe. I don't understand what the 3 months in a country means (on an american travel visa guaranteed by a passport). Is it 3 months in each country, or a total of 3 months combined?

I want to spend 3 months in Spain, 1 month in France, and 5 months in Germany. If it is 3 months in each, then I suppose I wouldn't need a visa for Spain or France, just for Germany. But if it's 3 months combined, ...

Hello, I am planning a trip to visit Switzerland, Germany and Paris. I only need a Schengen visa for France and Germany. At this point, I am not sure of whether I will go first to Germany or to France. If I apply for my visa at the German Consulate and later change my mind to enter France first, is that going to be a problem? I plan to stay for the same duration in both countries.

Hi Guys,

This Special Student Visa is given if the period of stay is between 3-6 months. It exempts me from applying for a residence permit.

It basically sucks since I never saw applying for residence permit as a trouble. Now I don't have a schengen and I can't apply for residence permit at all.

Thankfully I havn't left my home country since if I entered the Schengen zone it would complicate the matters. What I have come to know is that I can never apply for a Schengen Visa once ...
