Dear All,
I am an Italian citizen legally residing in Belgium. My girlfriend, a Serbian national, obtained today a Belgian visa type D (for cohabitation purposes) that allows here to stay in Belgium for 6 months, while waiting for her residence permit. She is due to arrive in Belgium next week.
However, she already has a multyentry Schengen visa type C valid for 90 days and still valid until February 2008, also given by the Belgian embassy in Serbia. She alreday used the visa once to visit me here while she was waiting for her type D visa. This visa C would allow her to travel in the Schengen areas even if the new visa (type D) would only allow a transit of 5 days on her way to Belgium.
The Visa type C was not annulated by the Embassy and I assume she can still use it therefore to come to Italy during Christmas holiday. Is there any chance she might have problems at the border when coming to Belgium or if stopped while on our way from Belgium to Italy, say if we were to be stopped in Germany?
Could it be that some border guards would actually contest having 2 visas released by the same Embassy/State and both valid, even if they are not 2 schengen visas but just a schengen one and a national one? If so, what would be a way to solve the problem?
Thanks for your help.
