This Special Student Visa is given if the period of stay is between 3-6 months. It exempts me from applying for a residence permit.
It basically sucks since I never saw applying for residence permit as a trouble. Now I don't have a schengen and I can't apply for residence permit at all.
Thankfully I havn't left my home country since if I entered the Schengen zone it would complicate the matters. What I have come to know is that I can never apply for a Schengen Visa once I enter France.
Real Question:
Since I am still in "India" am i eligible to apply for a Schengen Visa and travel around in Europe. If I already have a student visa can i also have a tourist visa overlapping the same period. I read somewhere that the French D type visa will take precedence over my schengen and even if I had a schengen visa it is literally useless. Is that true?
Is my only option to apply separate visas for each country? I was planning to visit atleast 15 countries during my 3 month stay. Now all plans are ruined.
Please help me. I only have 20 days to travel and I want to apply for a Schengen. Which country should I apply?
