Visa C +D (C almost expired)

Dear Sir

I've currently on my passport a valid c+d visa to the Netherlands
that i didn't use yet
unfortunately , i had a small accident that will prevent me from going to the NL now . and my C visa is about to expire

but as i understand the D is still valid for 6 months... can i still use it to go into the NL even if my C visa has expired ?
or can i should i ask for a new C visa? is this possible??

Could you give me the exacts dates indicated in your visa sticker?

the sticker contains DC visa
the dates on my sticker are
from 25-08-2008
till 23-11-2008
and for the number of day to stay XXX

in case i won't be able to travel to the NL with the current visa i've

what should i do? redo the D process all over again ?
or just request from the embassy here another sticker?

You cannot use your visa after 23.11.08.

I would advise you to get in touch with the embassy which issued the visa to ask what to do.
