Can I go to schengen countries?

I am about to get my visa for working in France,
From my coworkers, I got to know that the visa I am about to get is
Valid for France+1 transit schengen
Multi entry
D type
duration 3 months
Salarie OMI
Carte de sejour is required upon arrivel.
I am a chinese citizen, I planned to go to France and the next day go to Spain by air and then Greece.
My concern is if I could go with this type of visa.
I called French embassy, it is said I could go to a schengen country at most for 5 days, but I am not sure if I could do that after I enter France...
What should I do now....
I've booked the tickets to Barcelona and Greece....none refundable:(

Once you will have your "carte de séjour", you will be able to travel visa free in the Schengen area.

Before that your D visa is only valid in France.
