I am Erasmus Mundus Student and will change three European countries during my study. I will be staying for the first six months in Spain. As I understand from the discussion on this forum, the Spain will not grant me the residence permit as I will be studying for half of a year. They grant the residence permit for one-year study only. My question is may I apply for both visas? Student visa for 6 months to Spain and Shengen Visa for 90 days? I am planning to travel during my study in Spain to Europe. What will be the fee for both visas? In addition I find information that as a student I may obtain Shengen Visa for a free. Is it possible? On the other hand, may be it is better to receive just Shengen Visa for 90 days and then extend it. Is it possible to extend the Shengen Visa while staying in Spain? Thank you for any comments and reply. All information is highly appreciated.
